This relay is needed if you are trying to trigger from a low amp output trigger. We have found it very useful for use with the Lynx Touch L5000 and the Lynx L5100 for triggering a wired siren off of the low voltage siren trigger on the circuit board. If you are using this to trigger an external siren then you will also need a power supply setup.
