The DSC GS2060 GSM Communicator Cell Backup is a GSM cellular communicator that can be added to any DSC Power 1616, 1832, or 1864 that is version 4.1 or higher. Back a few years ago people mostly relied on land-line phone line to do alarm reporting to a monitoring station. Now people are moving away from that setup with the growing popularity of cell phones. You can use the GS2060 as a backup to a land-line or as the primary reporting option.

Using the GPRS channel of the GSM network; the GS2060 delivers alarm signals at top speed to whatever central station monitoring service you like. All of the information sent with this unit is 128 bit encrypted so that you never have to worry about security leaks.
