The DSC TL260 is a great communications alternative if you have Central Station Monitoring Service and want to move away from traditional land-line phone communication or if you'd like a backup to a land-line.
This unit connects into a DSC Power Series security panel and connects via an ethernet cable to your router so that your security system can send signals through the internet. With the use of DSC’s DLS 5 downloading software, you can remotely program and configure the control panel, change user information, retrieve historical records, generate the status reports and maintenance details from a PC via the Internet/Intranet connection network.
The TL260 board does require a 5003C expansion cabinet.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the nature of this product and it's extensive use of computer networking protocols, we are only able to offer limited technical support of this particular product. We can assist with basic installation and programming, but be forewarned, our support people are alarm techs
not computer network techs. If you are not very capable with networks, we recommend the much simpler TL150 model.
