Glass break detectors are listening devices. They listen for the sound of breaking glass and usually, on average, have a listening range of 25' radius. These are good to use in conjunction with window contacts if you can't use motion detection in certain areas.
If you have an area where pets are usually located then you could arm the windows with contacts and then use glass detection, instead of motion, just in case the thief decides to break the glass out of the window instead of prying the window open. |
