This is another great wireless add on for your Honeywell totally wireless or hybrid system. The Honeywell 5821 is a dual purpose wireless sensor. Just by itself it can be used to detect up to five hi-low temperature conditions. You can also attach two different probes to this sensor for other purposes as well. The first probe, T280R, will let you put a sensing probe in a freezer or refrigerator to monitor if the temperature rises or goes below a certain temperature. This is very handy in restaurant settings. The next probe that you can use, the 470PB, is a water-flood detection probe. Whenever water bridges the contacts for more than 3 minutes; an alarm condition is set off in the panel.
This is a very handy sensor!! Whoever said an alarm system was just for catching burglars was wrong.
