The new 5877GDPK includes the old favorite 5877 status light/relay module and a new Z-wave siren/strobe.
The 5877 is a wireless status light that can alert you to the arming state of the alarm system that you are using it for. It has three different colors that tell you if the system is armed, disarmed, or is alarm condition. The relay part of it works for raising and lowering your garage door using a 5800 series keychain remote.
The new addition to this package is the Z-wave siren strobe combo. It can only be used with the L5100 wireless alarm system with a Z-wave circuit board. This siren/strobe combo is used to alert the user if the garage door is open. It serves as an added precautionary measure.

The 5877 also has the ability, through it's built-in relay, to operate a garage door using any 5800 series keychain remote that has a button that can be programmed. The programmed button will get learned into the 5877 as well as learned into the main panel's programming. You can use up to 7 remotes with one 5877.
