The WiFi IP BAT is an IP "always on" data module that can be used with OR without professional central station monitoring service. Unlike the original IP BAT that we started selling, the BATWK does not need an ethernet cable connection from the panel to a router. It is a two piece system. The BAT goes at the panel and communicates wirelessly to the BAT's gateway which does connect via ethernet cable to your router. The gateway can be located near the router for ease of installation. Click HERE for a list of supported panelsThis IP BAT provides a couple of functions. First, it provides you a virtual keypad from any computer, Iphone, Ipod Touch, or Android (App is called IPFob). Any of these smartphone apps is arm and disarm only. You also get a web portal through an internet browser that features a virtual keypad. From this virtual keypad you can do anything that you can do at the real on site keypad. Arm, disarm, view event buffer, add codes, enter program mode, the list goes on...
The second capability the IP Bat provides is alarm and event transmission and notification. The IP BAT provides functionality to text, email and even provide automated voice notification of alarm conditions, trouble conditions and even openings and closings / armings and disarmings selectable by user.
There is a service fee of $5.95 a month to use this unit, payable annually. This fee is labeled "Setup Cost" and the first year is paid upon purchase, renewals are invoiced by mail. All of the above features are provided for this service fee. If you would like our optional UL listed central station monitoring service which provides dispatching of authorities for alarms, a central station account fee of $8.75 a month additional are applicable.
NOTE: The service fee of $71.40 also shown as setup fee, is non refundable once the IP BAT is activated.
